What type of snowboard boot brand is good and are Oakley goggles good for snowboarding?
i heard DC was good but i thought it was too expensive…i assume that since Oakley makes good sunglasses, they could make good goggles. If they aren’t good can any of you tell me a good goggle brand for snowboarding?

For boots, go with what fits your foot. That’s way more important than what name is stamped on the outside. For example, if you have wider feet, then you’ll end up going with a completely different brand than if you have narrow feet. The best thing is to bring your snowboard socks with you to a shop, and try on every pair of boots until you find the ones that fit your feet the best.
You want to have it so your toes are *just* brushing the front – boots “pack out”, so they’ll get bigger after you’ve ridden them a few times.. you need to make sure that they’re going to fit once they’ve packed out and not just for the few times you wear them before that happens.
Next you just want to make sure that your heel is in there nice and secure (not lifting up or moving around) and that the rest of your foot & calf is in there comfortably – no pressure points, but not swimming around either.
Also, don’t worry about getting a “women’s” specific boot – again, whatever fits is what you want. Who cares if it’s men’s.. if it fits, then get it! If women’s fits bets, go with them!
As for goggles, Oakley is a top name in Snowboarding Goggles. If you want to check out other brands “just to see”, you can try: anon, electric, spy, dragon, Von Zipper.. just to name a few!
